Xiu Xiu - Eraserhead Xiu Xiu [Clear]

Following David Lynch's passing, Xiu Xiu created a bold new project inspired by Eraserhead rather than reviving their Twin Peaks concert. This live album and film uses field recordings, homemade instruments, modular synths, and musique concrete to capture the film's dark, unsettling atmosphere. The album blends experimental sound collage with moments of beauty—tracks shift from minimal textures to harsh, grotesque noise, while the closing "In Heaven" offers delicate vocals over Lynch and Splet's original score. Xiu Xiu's interpretation honors the film's influence on their artistry while creating something entirely new: intense, strange, and deeply immersive.
