A mother, who is physically disabled, derives satisfaction from torturing her son and holding him responsible for her ailment. When he returns home with his spouse and newborn, he realizes he is still under her control and has been mentally traumatized by her for many years. Don Chaffey directs this film, with scripts by Robert Hutton, Frederick Warner, and Rosemary Wootten. It features Lana Turner, Trevor Howard, and Ralph Bates.
