The Papilio rumanzovia semperinus, also known as the Scarlet Mormon, is a real pink taxidermy butterfly specimen. It comes mounted on an Alfons Maria Mucha reproduction art print called 'The Dance' in an 8X10 inch wall frame. It would be a great addition to your collection of natural oddities and nature art. This butterfly species belongs to the family Papilionidae and is usually found in the Philippines, although it has also been seen as a vagrant in southern Taiwan.

The Scarlet Mormone Butterfly is truly beautiful! Perfect present for any butterfly lover! Real butterfly framed and ready for display! This is an example of the butterfly that you will receive. Rest assured, all the butterflies are equally stunning.

Created in 1898, 'The Dance' was one of the most popular works by Alphonse Mucha, a famous artist during his time. It was an Art Glass Panel adapted from Mucha's series of color lithograph illustrations known as 'The Arts.' In this piece, Mucha focused on the beauty of nature, using motifs like falling leaves dancing in the autumn breeze and a circular shell pattern in increasing sizes, which acts as an arch above the lone woman posing seductively. She is dressed in an orange dress with long auburn hair blowing wildly in the autumn morning breeze, exposing her legs, chest, and back, making it a risqué image for 1898. 'The Dance' celebrates the female form and is considered the most sensual of the series. Some have suggested that the use of autumn in the artwork is a metaphor for menopause.

*** ETHICS & ORIGIN ***
Determining the ethical sourcing of insects is a complex issue, and what is considered ethical can vary from person to person. However, we source our insects from trustworthy suppliers who assure us that their specimens are ethically sourced. We take their word for it and strive to promote responsible practices in the insect trade.

Our insect and butterfly specimens are sustainably sourced, farm-raised, and collected ethically after death. Butterfly/Insect farming practices across the globe assist in protecting the natural habitats of these critters from commercial farming and deforestation. This helps to maintain populations of all flora and fauna on the protected land, promoting more habitat for procreation. Moreover, locals in these areas can earn a fair wage through farming while simultaneously preventing deforestation.

*** COLORFUL INSECTS - BUTTERFLY SYMBOLISM & SPIRITUALISM ***
The butterfly has been a symbol of transformation, hope and faith for thousands of years. The butterfly is also a symbol of rebirth since it goes through so many life cycles -- from larva to caterpillar to chrysallis and finally to a beautiful, flying butterfly. Butterfly symbolism can also be associated with transformation, hope, change, a fresh start, growth and development, and inner peace. If you are seeing butterflies often or feel drawn to them in any way, it could be a positive sign that you need to embrace change in your life.
