Encased in a black plastic float frame with elasticity film which allows you to easily see both sides of the mantis. The plastic film allows you to better see the physical characteristics of your critter while keeping them safe. You can open the frame but it will probably damage your new insect friend.
The diamond/circle frames are approximately 4.75" x 4.75" (across), 5" with base. Frame sides measure 3.6" x 3.6".
A great addition to any cabinet of curiosities or classroom educational tool!
The critter pictured is an example of what you will be receiving. No worries, they are all about the same and super lovely.
