Encased in a black plastic float frame with elasticity film which allows you to easily see both sides of the mantis. The plastic film allows you to better see the physical characteristics of your critter while keeping them safe. You can open the frame but it will probably damage your new insect friend.
The diamond/circle frame is approximately 4.75" x 4.75" (across), 5" with base. Frame sides measure 3.6" x 3.6".
Chrysiridia rhipheus, the Madagascan sunset moth, is a day-flying moth of the family Uraniidae. It is considered one of the most impressive and appealing-looking lepidopterans. Famous worldwide and sought after by collectors. It is very colorful, though the iridescent parts of the wings do not have pigment; rather the colors originate from optical interference. Adults have a wingspan of 7–9 cm (2.8–3.5 in).
