Director Sam Raimi's 1992 film, Army of Darkness, follows the journey of Ash Williams as he finds himself in 1300 A.D. In order to return to his own time, he must retrieve the Necronomicon and fight off an army of the undead. The film stars Bruce Campbell, Embeth Davidtz, and Marcus Gilbert, and was written by Sam Raimi and Ivan Raimi.
