Follow the journey of Bobby Platt, a mentally challenged youth, as he flees from his cruel stepfather who has been systematically killing his beloved pets. His path leads him to a unique mentor, an old man who roams the highways to give proper burials to creatures killed by vehicles. Under the old man's tutelage, Bobby gains a new perspective on the natural world, but one that may seem odd to others.
